Motivation might get you started, but habits keep you going.

How do we get more people to eat well, stay active and to be healthy?
At HABITS, we study the day-to-day attitudes and behaviours that shape human health. Let us help you uncover the answers to these questions and more.

We are the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights and Interventions or HABITS – a regional research centre based in Singapore that aims to improve population health through behavioural change and patient empowerment.
HABITS is a partnership between Singapore's National Healthcare Group (NHG), Nanyang Technological University's (NTU) Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.
Drawing on Singapore's National Healthcare Group's clinical expertise and Nanyang Technological University's academic disciplines, HABITS' research focus is best represented by the 3 x 5 strategic clusters, where three horizontal columns of behavioural health disciplines span across five vertical columns of diseases and conditions.

HABITS aims to improve population health through multidisciplinary and translational research to support interventions, policy and programmes. We work closely with health, food and environment authorities to develop evidence-based behavioural interventions, encourage screening, identify risks, and to improve population health.
